Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

Okay. Thank you. Um can I ask you about the delayed tender in relation to the stem cell register? Is that something I ask here?

Mr Blair Comley

Uh again, that would typically outcome one. It's between one and two. Um I think that's probably not a cross portfolio or corporate issue.

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

Well, tenders are. And I'm asking about the tender.

Senator Ellie Whiteaker

If there's someone who's available to answer the question now, that would be helpful.

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

Uh perhaps I don't think I mean like when I've usually asked about tenders, Secretary, um this is where I've asked them.

Mr Blair Comley

So I I just if um if Mr. McCabe is here, he's not?

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

I mean that that's fine if you want to move it to outcome one, but I'll just make sure that in future I set my um programme up that if I'm asking about tenders, I won't ask them in corporate, I'll ask them individually at the place that the tender relates to.

Senator The Hon Jenny McAllister

Senator, I think it depends um whether you're seeking I suppose procedural information about how procurement is occurring or policy information that you know is ultimately the foundation for the procurement activity. So and I think we would accept that you're quite within your rights to ask about procurement activity in corporate.

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

Well, I mean there the obviously it's about a specific tender, but I was interested to understand what the status of that particular tender is, which is E25515102.

Mr Blair Comley

We're aware of the tender, I just don't have the specific officer here. We've typically answered questions in this section on things like and don't want to be flippant about it, tenders for paper clips or conferences or things that are actually directly for the department rather than being stakeholder-facing, if you like, in terms of the outcomes.

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

It's just it's due to it's it should have started and and I'm just interested whether it has started. But you know, once again, I'm happy to move that one to our come two. Um can I just ask around some of the structural changes within the department?
