Long is just coming to the table to answer your question.
Anthea Long
So Anthony Long, First Assistant Secretary, NDIS Sustainability Task Force.Senator, can I just clarify when you say children, uh what age would you are you referring to?
Senator Penny Allman-Payne
Well, I'm assuming if thriving kids goes from zero to eight that the kids who will be removed are zero to eight, but I'm happy to be corrected.
Anthea Long
So Senator, I can give you figures around children uh 18 and under if that's helpful. And so in terms of the projected number of participants who would be assumed to exit the scheme under the reforms,uh it would be 155,000 children by the 30th of June 2031.
Senator Penny Allman-Payne
Okay, thank you.Uh and is there a um if that's by 2031?Have you estimated sort of year on year between now and then how many roughly will be exiting each year?
Anthea Long
Uh yes, Senator. So I can give you that year on year if you would like.
Senator Penny Allman-Payne
Yep, that'd be really helpful.
Anthea Long
So for 30 June 2028, it is 21,000.Uh, for 30 June 2029, 87,000.Uh, for 30 June 2030, 137,000.And I should say that this is cumulative. So it's not that many of children each year, it's cumulative up until up to a total of 155,000 by 30 June 2031.
