Hon Sarah Henderson

>> Well, we're at one project in operation only. So, what is that project? Um, Miss

Speaker 21

>> uh, that is a solar farm uh, in Victoria. Makoen Solar Farm.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> I didn't hear you. Which one?

Speaker 21

>> Makoen Solar Farm.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> Mccoen.

Interjection

>> Yes.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> And where is that located?

Speaker 21

>> Uh, in northeast Victoria.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> And what? Near what town?

Speaker 21

near I would say closest to Wangada.

Hon Sarah Henderson

And of the 27 projects that have been withdrawn, what did they represent in foregone renewable generation capacity and foregone clean dispatchable capacity respectively, please?

Hon Tim Ayres

>> I think evidence was that that that is not foregone capacity that that that firms bid into the capacity investment uh that they are either successful uh if they're not successful, they either u bid into future rounds uh or they engage with the state schemes or they proceed without support.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> So I'm asking Miss Miss um Wilshire if you could just address my question. The 27 projects that have been withdrawn, I did hear your evidence and Mr. Brian's that some of those may be reinvigorated, but currently under this scheme they've been withdrawn. So, Miss Wilchure, what is the foregone renewable generation capacity and clean dispatchable capacity, please, of those 77 projects? 27, sorry.

Speaker 21

>> Uh, in total, that's 9.5 gawatt. Senator, there is uh 3.1 gaw uh of batteries, 4.9 of wind, and 1.5 of solar. 3.1 of

Hon Sarah Henderson

batteries, 4

Speaker 21

n of wind, and 1.5 of solar.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> Thank you. And I do appreciate you ask answering my questions directly. It really does make a difference for our what's the actual clean dispatchable capacity under contract?

Speaker 21

Uh we have uh 3.9 GW of batteries under

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> And what about the actual clean dispatchable capacity that's been >> So that's just the one project of course.

Speaker 21

>> Uh we we hope to have uh two two batteries uh become operational later this year, Senator.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> And so what's the quantum please?

Speaker 21

>> Uh I'm sorry I don't I don't have that with me.

Hon Sarah Henderson

>> Okay. Um I mean I just want to go back to the 9.4 gawatt that of power on under those 27 projects that is not proceeding. I mean is that my understanding is that that is roughly equates to what New South Wales would use an electricity in one year. We're talking about a very substantial amount of power aren't we?
