Hon Sarah Henderson
>> Uh thank you very much chair. Look Ijust wanted to continue asking aboutuh which world leaders were invited. I Iam Mr. Because given the department wasrunning this show, I am very surprisedthat you have no knowledge of the worldleaders who were invited. It's a verysignificant matteruh in invitations to world leaders uh issomething that I would have thought thatyou as secretary would be across. Is isis there any explan exclamation you canprovide explanation I should say becauseit just seems improbable that you
Mr Mike Kaiser
Senator I think it's improbable that aline agency would involve itself in theinvitation of world leaders to an eventlike this um that's the job of the primeminister the department of primeminister and cabinet so that theinvitations can be issued leader toleader we've had a bit of a look withinthe department for any documentsthat you know constitute a list of worldleaders that were invited. In the timeavailable to us so far, we haven't beenable to find one. But that doesn'tsurprise me. You wouldn't expect us as aline agency to have a direct role in

Um,surely you would be across whether worldleaders which world leaders wereinvited because you would have to plan
Mr Mike Kaiser

We would certainly need toplan that once we knew which leaders andindeed which delegations, whetherthey're energy and climate ministers orwhether they're just delegates fromother countries, we would need to ensuretheir accommodation, their security, their transportation arrangements,>> which is what we did. But the invitationis a different matter. Of course, onceaccommodate them.
Hon Sarah Henderson
>> No, I understand you didn't issue theinvitations, but was your departmentinvolved in the invitation process at
