Susan McDonald
>> Thanks very much, Chair, and goodafternoon. Um I wrote to the auditorgeneral in October earlier in Octoberabout a project they did in 2023where they talked about auditinguh they identified I'm sorry in undertheir audit programs they identified 127relevant programs across 42 entitiesinvolved in climate energy and the greenI'm wondering would you be able toidentify how many of those programs are
Mr Mike Kaiser
>> Not um not off the top of my head,Senator, but uh happy to take it onnotice if you like.
Susan McDonald
>> Terrific. If you could take that onnotice. Um, one of the comments that theAMO made in 2023was that uh, it had limited ability toaudit the number of programsuh, across government. Um, they had somethings to be made around vaguedefinitions and unknowns as one of itschallenges in auditing these programs.Um, and so I'm seeking an understandingfrom DQ when you've identified how manyof those programs, have you addressedthe auditor general's concerns aroundvague definitions and unknownsum in relation to the programs relatingto the green economy or climate changeand the environment

ago. and and I'm assuming that by nowthere's going to be a bunch moreprograms. So I'm just starting with thein the so the ANO has done now in thisin their annual report for 2526it's it says that there's been a numberof learning experiences delivered acrosspriority areas and they had targetedemerging areas of strategic importanceincluding foundational AI capabilitiesand climate reporting. reporting andauditing. So, I'm hoping that you'regoing to be able to tell me what changesyou've made to the programs to assistwith uh good audits from the ANAO.
Mr Mike Kaiser
>> Sure.
Susan McDonald
>> Does that make sense?
Mr Mike Kaiser
>> Yep. We we consistently take the ANO'sfeedback into account and where theymake specific findings, we registerthose, keep a register of them and workon closing them out.
Susan McDonald
>> Okay?
Mr Mike Kaiser
>> So, we'll be able to do that. We're justnot we're just not able to on the spot
Susan McDonald
at the moment.>> Yes. No. No. I appreciate that. Um theyalso the ANAO made a number of commentswith regard to Snowy 2.0.How much oversight does the departmenthave the expenditure of Snowy 2.0 asopposed to the Snowy Hydro Authority?
