>> Uh in a few instances that is right butI would I really would like to provideyou the whole um for each location howthe index was applied so you can seethat in the context of all locations. But yes, that is correct. I
James Paterson
>> I would like you to provide that to meas well, but since we don't have it, Ihave to kind of in the meantime persistand I look forward to receiving it onnotice as soon as it can be provided. So, is it in a majority of locations ora large number of locations that we'retalking about a 50% or more reduction?
Justine Greig
>> Uh, not the majority. No.
James Paterson
>> No. Okay. What is the the highestproportion of reduction? Is it 60%, 70%,how high are we talking in some
Justine Greig
Uh look again there are so manylocations and in terms of the uhtranslation between the currency in theactual uh country of which people areposted I'd really prefer to provide theuh table for you.
James Paterson
>> Well I look forward to that. Um how muchwill defense save as a lot of these
Justine Greig
>> Uh I can't answer that. we would have todo some form of projection. If we hadleft uh the had left um the amounts asthey were, I'd have to do some sort ofprojection. The aim of this was toensure we had the contemporary standardand aligned with uh DEFAT.
James Paterson
>> Surely you know though like I mean thisis a you know money is tight in thedefense portfolio. We want to make sureit's spent uh as well as it can be. Youshould know roughly the quantum ofsavings. Is it millions of dollars? Isit tens of millions of dollars? Is it
Justine Greig
>> It would um um Can you just bear with mefor a minute?>> Of course.>> I I don't believe I've got the pricedifference here, but it was not in the order of whatyou're describing.
Meghan Quinn
>> So, we're happy to take on notice thethe details you're asking, but thiswasn't a policy that was drivennecessarily by uh a savings exercise. Itwas it was as uh Miss Griger said it wasaround consistency. Um it's not clear tome that an APS officer serving in aparticular country in defense requiresdifferent meal allowances or otherincidential allowances than a DEFATofficer or a DAER officer or aagriculture officer uh operating at thesame post. And so this policy was aroundlooking at the consistency across thearrangements for both APS and ADF and itapplies consistently>> for both sets of employees.
