>> Okay. Well, let's get into the substanceof the issues. Um there was a mediareport by Andrew Green in the nightly uhI think on Tuesday or maybe Wednesday.Um about a budget review that hascommenced inside the department. Is thataccurate?
Meghan Quinn
>> No.
James Paterson
>> Right. So um there is no review
Meghan Quinn
not in the sense of, uh, anything beyondwhat we would normally do at this timeof year. Um, as part of the PGPAresponsibilities and the budget rules,uh, we do a review of, uh, our budget ona regular basis. We review it at ourdefense committee every month andthere's various other mechanisms. uh andso we are following our usual process uhin relation to looking at our budget andmanaging uh to meet the budget rules andour my PGPA responsibilities asaccountable officer. So there is nothingunusual in our processes this year. Uhwe are working through um the mechanismsfor midyear economic and fiscal updateum and we'll we have various mechanismsthrough the course of the year in theleadup to the budget and thefinalization of our financial accounts.
James Paterson
>> Right. Is it true that um as part ofthis process nothing is off the table?
Meghan Quinn
>> So we we have a process of uh ourproject uh managers, our programmanagers review their activities. Theyprovide information into our systemsincluding our defense finance group. Uhwe always review everything at allpoints in time.
James Paterson
>> Right. So everything is on the table
Meghan Quinn
>> as it is every year.
James Paterson
>> Right. Okay. So um you won't rule outany further cuts to the Hunter classprogram.
Meghan Quinn
>> So we go through where programs are upto and projects are up to. We have aseries of different processes. Uh we'vetalked uh this committee before aboutprojects of concern and projects ofinterest. So there's detailed projectmanagement that occurs through thecourse of a year. We also do uh detailedwork with our industry partners to seewhere they're up to in terms ofmilestones and deliveries. That processoccurs uh on a regular basis. uh thereare sometimes shifts and movements inprogram deliverables because of eitherindustry uh concerns or because of other
