Hon Jonathon Duniam

Sure. All right. Thank you. I might go if I can to the Bondi Royal Commission that's here. Yes.

Stephanie Foster

It is yes.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Excellent. Um I wonder whether you might be able to indicate to the committee how many of the interim report uh recommendations have been fully implemented?

Stephanie Foster

So I'll ask Mr. Chapman who is leading our task force to give you the detail.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Uh Senator Tony Chapman, First Assistant Secretary, Royal Commission Task Force. Uh I can confirm that of the 14 recommendations contained in the interim report that all do remain on track to be delivered in December of this year. Uh currently six of the nine public recommendations have been complete. Uh, and two of the five confidential recommendations? Okay. So in total how many are left outstanding?

Tony Chapman

Uh six, Senator.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Okay. And with regard to the implementation of those, and I my recollection is some related to state and territory agencies. So of those six, how many are in the Commonwealth's control to respond to, and how many are outside of the control?

Tony Chapman

Uh Senator, we have been closely consulting by the Australian New Zealand uh counter-terrorism committee to ensure completion. Uh the only one that directly uh sorry is out of the remit directly of the Commonwealth is recommendation one, uh, which related to procedures adopted by New South Wales police uh in respect of Operation Jewish High Holy Days.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Okay. But the rest are ones you are working through to implement?

Tony Chapman

Yes, that's correct, Senator.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

And what is our projected time frame on implementing the balance?

Tony Chapman

We're confident, Senator, that they will all be completed by in December of this year.
