Hon Jonathon Duniam

I do want to put on record on behalf of I suspect all colleagues, the effort that has been gone to by the department and by the AFP and AZO in briefing colleagues after those terrible events of last year. It is obviously distressing for many colleagues and particularly those close to Ms. Haines, the member for Indai, but obviously we know that there is a lot of work being put in by you and others in the various teams that have supported us, so thank you. If I can seek to understand questions around staffing and other support provided or put into supporting the Ministers Immigration announcement of 17 September. Is that something I should be asking about here or in the outcome related to immigration?

Stephanie Foster

So we'll have more expertise at hand, Senator, in outcome two.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

And they will be able to outline who were who contributed and how many people, etc. as part of that?

Stephanie Foster

That's correct, Senator.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Okay then. If I could ask about the and again, please redirect me as required. The $12.9 million allocated to home affairs in the 26-27 budget for the broader better selecting migrants measure. Again, is that something I'm able to ask about here or would that be better?

Stephanie Foster

So we can do the budget stuff here and I can get the coup up. If we want to go into any of the policy content, that will be an outcome two issue. But would you like to start with the message?

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Yes, let's start, and if we can um if Ms.

Stephanie Foster

Tressler would like to join us?

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Like to or uh I'm not sure whether you caught my question there. The $12.9 million allocated in the budget for the better selecting migrants measure. My question was going to be how much of that has been allocated to specifically implementing and administering the new second and third year working holiday maker ballot program?

Charlotte Tressler

Uh so Senator uh Charlotte Tressler, Chief Operating Officer, unfortunately that's not detail I have before me. I might see if my outcome two colleagues might be able to assist.

Stephanie Foster

To that end, is it better that I think if we're going to go straight into direct allocations, it would be better to have that whole team available.

Hon Jonathon Duniam

Then as a flow on any ICT requirements related to the changes to how we handle working holiday making visas. Is that something we can talk about here or again? Okay?

Stephanie Foster

Can we have our head of technology here? But it might be better to do it when you've got the exposed.
