Senator Penny Allman-Payne
Okay, I'll ask my next question then, thank you.Um just in relation to the rapid review into the prioritization algorithm that was commissioned in June.Uh, can the department uh give us an insight as to the findings of that review?
Mr Blair Comley
No, that's a matter before government.
Ms Sonja Stewart
So it will be um uh up to government to decide um around uh the the release of that report.I would note that um the minister has um uh recently announced a review of the algorithms, the uh priority and classification algorithm that um uh are used in the uh integrated assessment uh process and uh the rapidreview that the department undertook would be a very key input into that.Um did you have anything?
Senator Penny Allman-Payne
Would I may this maybe a question for the minister then, given that you've said that the report is sitting with government?Uh Minister, given the concerns, the the huge concerns around the integrated assessment tool that are being expressed by both the Ombudsman uh experts andand people who are in the aged care system.Uh, when do you envisage that the minister will make public the findings of the rapid review?
Senator The Hon Jenny McAllister
I understand that the rapid review looked at short-term changes that could be made to the prioritization mechanism, and as the officials have already indicated to you, in addition to that, the minister has recently announced.A broader independent review of both the prioritization and the classification systems.
Senator Penny Allman-Payne
I understand that questions.
Senator The Hon Jenny McAllister
I'll keep I'll answer your question, Senator. The rapid review was relatively recently finalised. It is currently being considered by government and when the minister has made a decision about either release of thatdocument or any response to that document will update the Senate.
Senator Penny Allman-Payne
Okay.Thank you.I'll hand over the call, Chair until my next turn.
