which I cannot understand. We don't seem to have better down.

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

Because it said in the communique at the last ministers conference that they'd reach one, but when I asked at the last hearing, we didn't actually have the words of it. Have we got the words of it yet?

Ms Sonja Stewart

Yes, my understanding is Senator that we answered that on a question on our notice. I do acknowledge um that we weren't able to answer at the time. One of the things we needed to do was just get the okay from our state and territory colleagues. Sure. Senator, we've got the figure for the ACAP amount, the um capital amount in Tasmania. So if you just want to go back to that.

Mr Jason Lange

Yes, Senator Gattenby, um it's not in the time period you asked for, but since 2022, the Commonwealth has delivered uh in Tasmania a total of 112 new beds uh under the aged care capital assistance programs.

Senator Chris Gatenby

So in the last two years, I think the year before was 54 reduction beds, and the recent report on Monday is 50. So we're not far and on that basis where we're not really well getting in the last two years about eight to ten beds. So it's um it's a bit of a worry when we've got people still. Stuck in hospitals and we're looking to increase the amount of spaces. But do you accept it's looking like it's you know there's a reduction of 50 beds in the last financial year that we've got details of that looks like it's it's not a positive development when we've got people stuck and stranded in hospitals?

Mr Jason Lange

I've only got the Commuth funded element of that.

Senator Chris Gatenby

And just I'll just move on quickly from bed block issues.

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

have it been assessed for home care packages or needing residential care. So you know how many people who've been through that assessment process are in hospital? Because you you've obviously had your assessors have done that as well.

Ms Sonja Stewart

Um I think we would be able to do that because um of the nature of the uh assessment being undertaken in the hospital setting? I'm not sure if anybody is.

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

So when you assess them in a hospital, though, so that's that's assuming you don't know how many uh but that you know how many you would have assessed in a hospital over a period of time, whether they're still in hospital before they get their allocation, who knows? But of the people that you assess in hospital, how many of those have been classified as high priority or urgent under their classification?

Ms Sonja Stewart

How many have been approved for supported?

Senator The Hon Anne Ruston

Oh, and then in terms of terms of supported home, how many of them who were assessed as needed supported home would have been classified as urgent or high priority. I think that will we'll need to take that one on a notice that will pick up some data setting in his blackwood space and some sitting on my space. So really happy to see what we can do.

Senator Chris Gatenby

Chair, can I keep keep going?
