Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
Thank you very much. Can we go back to MSOs? That's cool. What percentage of new packages or sorry, maybe start? How many people in total have received an MSO since the 1st of November 2025?
Mr Greg Pugh
We're just finding the specific number. The latest quarterly data from the 1st of July to the 30th of September. Shows that in that three month period there were 52,659 people who were assigned a minimum service offer.
Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
In that period, or that's how many people were on an MSO during that period?
Mr Greg Pugh
That was how many people who are allocated an interim place in that period.
Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
Okay, so in a three-month period, 52,000 people. 113,000. Okay, so that in effect that was people who were allocated from the 1st of November because you didn't have entering packages prior to that. Yes. So that that 113 goes to the 30th of June.
Mr Greg Pugh
So the total figure according to my iPhone calculator is 166, 183.
Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
What's the longest anybody's been on one of those packages?
Mr Greg Pugh
Well, I'll take that one on notice, sir.
Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
Sure. So what percentage of new packages, so what percentage of either the 83,000 or with the component of the 35,000 for 2526 have been allocated So 50 per cent. So from the 1st of November to the 31st of March, you said it was 74%. So that means most of the ones that have been released since then haven't been interim packages, is that correct?
Mr Greg Pugh
Oh no, so the 45% related to the last financial year on December. The 40%, sorry, it was 45% in uh 25-26. And I'm just seeing if I've got the total time frame.
Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
Whereas we point out that there it's irrelevant to do the 1st of July to the 31st of October in 2025, because you didn't issue any interim packages. So if you're talking about packages that were released in the 1st of November through to the 30th of June, um what percentage of those packages were released as interim packages? 45%. 45%. So in answer to question on notice, you said the percentage of interim package funding places released from the 1st of November to the 31st of March was 74%. And now you're telling me that in when you add the last quarter between March, so the April-June quarter, it drops to 45%. 74% to 45%.
Ms Jasmine Snow
That's right.
Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
Okay. So how many interim packages were released between the 30th? Oh, sorry, the 1st of April and the 30th of June?
Ms Jasmine Snow
I haven't got that breakdown in front of me, but I'm very happy to try and find it quickly now. I'll provide that one, Motors.
Senator The Hon Anne Ruston
In a sense, it's a pretty wild variation. I mean it's good variation, but it's a pretty significant variation over that period of time. Um, how many people were on an MSO at as at the 30th of June 2026?
