I welcome officials from the Department of Social Services. Thank you for joining us this afternoon, this evening. I I'm not sure when the clock goes from afternoon to evening, but welcome nonetheless. I welcome Senator the Honourable Katie Gallagher, Minister for Women, Government Services, Finance and the Public Service representing the Minister for Social Services. Minister, do you wish? I welcome the Secretary, the Department of Social Services, Mr. Michael Ly. Do you wish to make an opening statement? We will commence with a whole of portfolio and corporate matters, and I will give the call to Senator Gainby.

Chris Gatenby

Thank you, Chair. On the 13th of October, the government announced $630 million to deliver fairer pay to cover over 460,000 health disability and community services workers. Following the Fair Work Commission's findings. Yeah. Okay.

Michael Lye

We might be able to get it to you, Senator.

Chris Gatenby

Thank you, Mr. Lye. Can we get the funding profile for that if we're getting that as well? Thank you. I note that there are 128,000 organisations over 92 government programs that would receive funding. What are the social services programs covered by the announcement?

Kath Paton

There are 38, Senator. Would you like me to read each of them out to you or provide it to you on notice?

Chris Gatenby

The list of yeah, with that list of organizations who receive extra funding and under which program. Is there a mix of different types of organizations? In a single area or state.

Kath Paton

There's a mix of organizations.

Chris Gatenby

And the total amount of the funding over the term of the contract.

Kath Paton

So if I understood your question correctly, so you want the program? The profile of that financial profile of that program and then each organization with the financial program.

Chris Gatenby

Yes, or what?

Michael Lye

I think it's that isn't it?

Kath Paton

It's around 170 million over four years for the DSS program. Sorry, Senator, I thought you meant how much funding we got to administer it.

Chris Gatenby

How many of you got that as well? That would be useful. Very good. Redundancy payouts if I can.
