Redundancy payouts if I can.Can I just get an update on the department's voluntary redundancy process?I wasn't here for the last hearing, but I believe it came up.What was the total cost for the full financial year?
Thea Connolly
Senator Fi Economy acting chief operating officer. For voluntary redundancies. If there's a risk that individuals could be identified.
Chris Gatenby
Whatever you can supply without it being identifying anyone, that would be appreciated.Or have there been any payments made this financial year?
Thea Connolly
I believe there's been one voluntary redundancy process this financial year.I'll check with Ms.Lilak.Yes, that's correct.
Chris Gatenby
And do you know what the amount was for that?
Hon Katy Gallagher
So we'll take on notice how to answer that in a way that doesn't expose that individual.
Chris Gatenby
Thank you.And just out of curiosity, how many applications did you receive from staff seeking a voluntary redundancy?
Thea Connolly
Senator, we'll have to check the exact number, but it wasn't much over the total number of voluntary redundancies that was provided. The department took the took the approach that generally we would support requests for voluntary redundancy in order to support the department's future financial sustainability as long as there wascompliance with the relevant um rules in relation to voluntary redundancies. As it was, we were we were pretty close in terms of matching applications to provision of redundancies.
Chris Gatenby
Okay, thank you.Well, other people on the committee asked about estimates variations at the last hearing.
