Okay, this might be in my inbox in the form of AON, but I haven't had time to review it, so apologies if so. Um, have we confirmed that $5 billion figure that we discussed in the last uh Senate estimates of rep prioritizations to use your language uh within the forwards?

Robert Chipman

>> Sorry, Sen Senator Air Marshall Rob Chipman, Vice Chief of the Defense Force. I missed the question there.

James Paterson

Sorry. Um, in the last Senate estimates, you and I discussed this figure of $5 billion of rep prioritization within the forwards and you weren't familiar with it and you took it on notice and as I'm seeking to confirm, was that $5 billion figure within the forwards accurate?

Robert Chipman

>> Um, Senator, my recollection of our discussion at the last hearing was that we were in agreement on the $5 billion. I was confused about the $10 billion billion over the over the over the life of the IP and yes that is the tale of measures that are taken over the forward estimates measured throughout the life of the IP.

James Paterson

>> Okay. So so the $5 billion was accurate and the $10 billion was also accurate.

Robert Chipman

>> That's correct.

Meghan Quinn

>> Yeah. 10 10 billion over the decade is what I believe the Quan says.

James Paterson

>> Yep. Thank you. Yep. Um why weren't you familiar with that figure when we discussed it last time? You seemed quite surprised when I asked about it and we had this long back and forth about whether this came from the minister or the industry minister and was briefed to journalists or not.

Robert Chipman

>> It was simply uh senator that my focus as we were preparing the IP had been more on the forward estimates than over the decade period and I had not considered the tale of the decisions taken over the forward estimates and their impact over the decade.
