Senator Barbara Pocock

>> Can I just finish one last little question? Um thanks so much for all of the work you have done on that uh consulting and contracting out. I just wanted to ask a question about the uh ANAO's information report Australian government procurement contract reporting. Um this is a report which gives a useful overview of the shape of government procurement. It's a three-yearly report last tabled in February 2023 but I don't see it in your forward work program. Do you plan to provide another update of that report?

Dr Caralee McLiesh

Uh yes, we do. And uh I'm not sure about our expected tableling date. I'll just

Lisa Croswell

currently scheduled for February. We had hoped to table it earlier this year. [clears throat] and we're unable to and given the the time frame involved, we're now updating it toward oh sorry procurement.

Dr Caralee McLiesh

Just one moment.

Senator Barbara Pocock

>> Yeah, sure. I'm interested in what

Dr Caralee McLiesh

>> We can come back to you on that. Intend is to table next year.

Senator Barbara Pocock

>> February 2027's tableabling. And you

Lisa Croswell

>> February 2027 was grants, not procurement.

Senator Barbara Pocock

>> Was what?

Lisa Croswell

>> Grants, not procurement. We have a

Dr Caralee McLiesh

similar information report that summarizes trends in uh grants across the uh the Commonwealth. Uh I think you're referring to a information report that we prepare around procurement data.

Senator Barbara Pocock

>> Contract procure reporting. That's >> Procurement reporting. That's what I'm asking about.

Lisa Croswell

>> Yeah. Apologies I answered about grants.

Senator Barbara Pocock

>> Okay. So are you doing this?

Lisa Croswell

>> We're looking up procurement now.

Dr Caralee McLiesh

>> Okay. Sorry. And yes, we do have an exercise of looking across government at procurement data and I believe it's later next uh year, but um we'll we'll come back to you and confirm that.

Senator Barbara Pocock

>> I'm interested in whether you can give me any preliminary data because we've waited quite a while.

Carla Jago

>> I can answer now. Carla JGO, deputy auditor general. April is when we expect to table that report.

Senator Barbara Pocock

>> Okay. Thank you. Um, and I'd be interested in what period it will cover and whether you can give us any interim data on the value of contracts, the value of contract amendments, the increase or decrease in the median value of parent contracts compared to the previous 10 years. Thank you and thanks for letting me finish that off. Uh,
