I'm not sure it works like that, Senator, but um I mean I think we've we've given evidence that we are working on the policy Mr.
Hon Anne Ruston
Lye.The government on that.
Michael Lye
You know, that the these things are subject to government decisions. So I mean I'm not sure that.
Hon Anne Ruston
Well, I suppose let me put it another way, Mr.Leigh.Four and a half years ago, the government um made a conscious policy decision that they were going to end um compulsory income management.Um we're four and a half years down the track and it appears as if um that isn't the case as yet,but clearly the policy is still in place. The minister's confirmed the pol that that is still the policy intent of this government for income um compulsory income management to end. Now, whenever you put a policy in place, clearly you must have some metrics in terms of your ability to deliver on it.So in terms of the direction to the department in terms of fulfilling the government policy, what were the metrics of success that you were given when this policy was provided to you to deliver?
Michael Lye
I mean we we we provided a lot of advice to government working. No, no, it wasn't about advice to government.
Hon Anne Ruston
I'm I'm not asking.
Michael Lye
Well, I mean I don't know that we can answer your question, Senator.
Hon Anne Ruston
No, no, it's well I would suggest that probably because we haven't had a lot of success.Um what are the areas in each state and territory currently where someone can be on the enhanced income management program?
